Introduction

My name is Salla Hukari. I live in country side in Suinula, 25km from Tampere, 3rd largest city in Finland. I Breed Whippets in a small scale under my prefix Silentkaze (Kaze is Japanese word for wind). I got my prefix at the end of 2003. So far I have bred four whippet litters (Silentkaze A-, B-, C- and D-litter) and co-bred one litter (Plaudite Rare-litter). At the moment I have four whippets bitches and a Magyar Agar bitch at home. My dogs are much loved family members and they live with me, sharing my sofa and my bed.

I was born in Finland but because of my parents work, I have grown up abroad. We moved often and it was impossible for me to have a dog. I have always loved dogs, but it was not until 1997 that I got one of my own. It was a whippet bitch Dinarzaden Cayenne "Cayo". Through her I was introduced to this wonderful breed and there were no going back. I fall in love with whippets every single day, over and over again. A perfect breed for me.
